HP has not updated that driver recently or anything. You should check device manager to see if card is installed yet?

I am thinking maybe you have other technical issues with the notebook. The RTL8723be is the same in my Pavilion notebook and its not a great card to begin with. HP has a habit of installing these cheaper wifi cards in their notebooks as default. I am having issues myself but more so with signal quality and not total failure of card. Well, at least not yet.

My advice is to go into device manager and uninstall the card do not select to click delete driver too. Then reboot PC and see if PC detects card and installs driver. Then connect to your network again.

Laptop

Thanks for the reply. I did uninstall the device but i reinstalled it myself without rebooting it. Overall it seems to have worked although some days are worse than others and then it still disconnects and i have to disable/enable the adapter. You're saying i should uninstall and then reboot to see if it will install automatically?
